🌟 Spotlight on Ipsa Provisions
Ipsa Provisions is a frozen meal delivery service that reinvents freezer food with small-batch, high-quality meals designed for the oven. Their dishes are made in New York using real, wholesome ingredients—no preservatives, just great food.
I ordered from Ipsa a number of times this past year. I love their soups. My kids loved the pasta bolognese (their menu rotates). Portions are generous. It’s great to have these meals in the freezer for whenever you need something quick. My favorite part are the ingredients. As you know, I scour ingredient lists and their list is all clean, real food.
Key Features:
Location: Based in New York, ships to the Eastern third of the US.
Menu Info: Offers comforting, gourmet meals like Classic Lasagna, Green Chicken Enchilada Bake and mushroom farro soup, with meals priced at around $12-14 per serving.
Ordering: Order a la carte, when you want, or buy a bundle.
Best Known For: Frozen pasta bakes you can pop in the oven.

RIP WECO
🥖 Meal Delivery I ate in 2024
Clover Food Lab is one on my favorite local meal delivery companies. There were years where they delivered to me every week. They’re also a restaurant chain touting “healthy fast food”. They deliver a different meal each night with weekly themes like “Taco Tuesday” and “Burger Thursday”. They deliver within a 30 mile radius of Cambridge, MA.
Ipsa Provisions As I mentioned in the spotlight, I really like their soups. Their portions are good and pastas are delicious. Because I try not to overdo pasta, I order them from time to time as a freezer backup.
Sakara I finally caved and tried Sakara, the fancy schmancy salad meal delivery. It’s pricey, but I really enjoyed it. I’ll spill the beans in the next issue.
WECO was my absolute favorite this year. I had tried them years ago, but this time I got into a great cadence. Sadly, they closed shop at the end of 2024 and merged with Feast & Fettle.
Feast & Fettle I’ve tried Feast & Fettle a number of times over the years, and I can never quite “figure them out.” The meals are pricey and I spend a lot of effort trying to pick which parts of meals I want to combine together and even when I try to optimize on price it still always seems too much and the portions too small. The food is delicious though, so I still recommend giving it a try.
